The authors intended this book to inform and update the practitioner on current issues to encourage research on the reproductive system through the use of donor insemination (DI). The authors are also concerned with improving the clinical management of DI by emphasizing donor assessment, fertility analysis, and counseling of clients. These issues are particularly pertinent and timely due to the recent legislation of the field. This is a multipurpose book for a multipurpose audience. As the authors state, the book is for anyone involved in the treatment of infertility. It touches interesting topics in various professions which broadens the expert's knowledge, but it is more valuable as direction for the novice. The contributors are clearly authorities in their fields, but with such a broad audience they have a tendency to either overstate or understate their subject.
