Although total knee arthroplasty is one of the most frequently performed orthopedic surgeries with generally good outcomes expected, the need for revision total knee arthroplasty is anticipated to increase due to rising life expectancy and the number of primary procedures.
Despite this trend, there are few publications dedicated to the principles of revision total knee arthroplasty. This book comprehensively covers all aspects, including diagnosis, principles, and practical issues, accompanied by numerous helpful radiographs, clinical photographs, and anatomical drawings. Video files demonstrating physical examinations, clinical findings, and surgical procedures enhance clarity and complement existing literature. Intended as a practical reference, this book is aimed at senior residents, knee arthroplasty fellows, and attending orthopedic surgeons involved in treating patients undergoing revision total knee arthroplasty.
Prof. Sang Jun Song graduated from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. He is a Professor at the College of Medicine, Kyung Hee University, and a consultant orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee arthroplasty at Kyung Hee University Hospital. He has published well over one hundred peer-reviewed international articles and continues to contribute extensively through oral and poster presentations at international meetings. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Knee Surgery and Related Research, the official journal of the Korean Knee Society. The journal currently holds an Impact Factor of 4.4 (2024) and a Journal Citation Indicator of 1.77 (2024). He was listed among the world’s top 2% of scientists in 2023 by Stanford University.
