About the editors
Dr. Saket Gupta is an NHS Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology based in Scotland. He undertook training in Diabetes and Endocrinology in the Republic of Ireland and was awarded MD degree by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland for his research in diabetes. His clinical and academic interests include diabetic foot disease and the use of technology in diabetes management.
He has participated in several research projects and has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is involved in medical education, supervising medical students and doctors in training and contributing to teaching programmes. He remains committed to advancing diabetes care through clinical practice, research, education and the integration of emerging technologies in diabetes management.
Dr Alok Gupta is a senior Consultant Paediatrician and an eminent Diabetologist for children and young people (CYP).
He has been working in the field over 3 decades. His work and contribution in the chosen field through various key roles have been recognised nationally and internationally.
He holds many key roles in the NHS and other organisations. He is Clinical Director for children and young people services and lead Paediatric Diabetologist at Dartford and Gravesham NHS trust, Dartford, Kent, UK. He is a Co-Chair of London and South East CYP diabetes clinical networks.
