Pancreatic diseases represent a crucial issue not only for their epidemiological relevance, for the anatomical and metabolic complexity, but also for the different treatment options and for their surgical implications. Due to the slow but steady increase in their incidence, pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer are today a real challenge for the surgeon.
