A real understanding of the patient's problems, aimed at developing an effective therapeutic plan, requires an attitude oriented towards a global approach. To achieve this goal, especially in the case of complex clinical problems such as those of the craniofacial region, it is necessary to have an overview and, at the same time, a specific consideration for the different aspects.
On this basis, the volume deals with the correlations between orofacial functions, occlusion and posture to better understand the proper diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that can be followed toward issues of multidisciplinary relevance, involving physicians, dentists, orthodontists, speech therapists, myofunctional therapists and otolaryngologists. Therefore, the text analyze the therapy used in the treatment of so-called myofunctional disorders or changes in the mobility and tone of the orofacial musculature.
